About

A research desk that builds.

We publish measured, reproducible research on where attention and money move in crypto, and we build small tools where the research shows something missing. The research is global. The building starts on BNB Chain.

The name on the door is the armillary sphere: an instrument built to measure position, latitude and time, the object that let Portuguese navigators cross unknown water with instruments rather than intuition. Instruments before voyages.

How we work

  • One ecosystem at a time. One thing at a time.
  • Every figure is dated, sourced, and ships with the query that produced it.
  • Nothing is published on the word of an aggregator or a model. Verification at the primary source is part of the work, and it has already caught fabricated dates, invented programme details, and tens of thousands of token contracts impersonating the ones we meant to measure.
  • No token. Nothing custodial. No positions in anything we write about.

Who

A small team, in Lisbon. We are independent: one of us works at CoinMarketCap, and nothing here is written on behalf of CoinMarketCap or Binance. We hold no position in anything we write about.
